Adar ב Stickers

Posted by The ShtarkShirts Project Blog on

For Adar ב members of D'veykus received four stickers in celebration of Purim.

Ether Gate

This sticker riffs off the trend of adding the word "gate" to scandalous pop culture/politcal moments by renaming Megillat Esther. This renaming is especially relevant given that much of the action in this story happens at gate of King Ahaseures' palace.

Purim ft. Harvona -

Another alternative way to refer to the Megillat Esther: The Purim Story ft. Harvona and the Shushan Players. Harvona is one of the king's eunuchs. When the King is struggling to figure out how he should punish Haman for trying to kill Esther, Harvona jumps in and conveniently points out that Haman had already prepared a stake for Mordechai, and that it could be used for Haman instead. Thus, everything is turned around and Harvona was remembered favorably.

Ahaseures & The Golden Rod -

Another alternative name for Megillat Esther. This sticker recounts the fated moment at which Esther will unveil her true identity as a Jew. After not being called into the King's chamber for months she goes in to his quarters and he extends the royal rod, indicating her presence is accepted. Esther then invites the King to a royal feast where she will foil Haman's plan.

Every Day is Purim -

It's true! Just remember it!
