Tishrei 5785 Stickers!

Posted by The ShtarkShirts Project Blog on

This shipment marks one full year from the beginning of this project! Since last Tishrei I have designed nearly 80 original stickers and sent out hundreds to loyal subscribers! Thanks for being a part and supporting my art.

For Tishrei 5785, members of D'veykus – The Jewish Sticker Club received the following four stickers:

Merit like a Pomegranate – Many have the custom of making "punny" blessings at the Rosh Hashana meal. The pomegranate's seeds remind us of the 613 commandments, and on the new year we bless "that our merits will increase like a pomegranate."

The Day of Remembrance –  In the Torah "Rosh Hashana" is referred to as "Yom Zikaron," (a day of remembrance). What we are commanded to remember remains up to interpretation, but many use this juncture as a prompt to reflect on their past actions and commit to change for the better.

Kitel Time  On Yom Kippur many have the custom of wearing a special white garment called a "Kitel." This garment symbolizes the cleansing and renewal that we hope to achieve on this holy day.

Mehadrin Esrog – The fruit of the "Hadar" tree, commonly known as the "etrog" is one of the four species used in our Sukkot ritual. Get hyped for the most joyous time of year with this fun sticker!
